Chris Ellsworth helps people develop better, safer and happier relationships with their horses. An uncanny teacher and horse interpreter, he has a unique talent for getting to the heart of matters and bringing a fresh understanding between you and your equine partner. What is the cost?

Arena participants:

$400 for MHA members

$450 for non-members

 

Auditors:

$35 for one day

$55 for the weekend.

Lunch is included for both days (vegetarian options available).

How do I register?

Download the registration form, fill it out and email it to ljfend@pacbell.net or call 925-216-8147. Please bring cash or check to the event - electronic payments are not available at this time.

How do I become an MHA member to access the member discount?

Download our Membership Application and Release of Liability, fill out, and bring with $50 cash or check (made out to MHA, memo: Membership Dues - Clinic) or to the registration table at the clinic. The club has voted to waive the $10 initiation fee for this event - enjoy the savings and the many perks of being an MHA member!

 

Can I do just one day?

You are welcome to as an auditor, but if you'd like to participate in the arena, this clinic is a two-day commitment.

Can I keep my horse there overnight?

Horse pens are available for $25/night, please plan to muck and bring your own feed.

What's the schedule for the day?

Participants are encouraged to trailer in by 8am. We will be ready to start in the arena at 9am sharp, saddled up and with a halter and lead rope (8ft. long min. recommended) on Day One. Same start time for Day Two.

We'll break for lunch at noon and reconvene in the arena from 1pm-4pm, both days.

Getting There

From Walnut Creek:

Take CA-24 W; exit toward Central Lafayette/Moraga; Turn right onto Deer Hill Rd; Turn right onto 1st St;Turn right onto Mt Diablo Blvd; Take the 1st left onto Moraga Rd; Turn right onto Moraga Way. Continue straight onto Canyon Rd. Turn left at mailbox, proceed over bridge, down gravel road to arena.

 

From Oakland:

Head east on CA-24 E; Take the exit toward Orinda/Moraga; Turn right onto Camino Pablo (signs for Rheem St Mary's College/Moraga), Continue straight onto Moraga Way, Continue straight onto Canyon Rd. Turn left at mailbox, proceed over bridge, down gravel road to arena.

 

PARKING IS LIMITED

Please park your trailers and personal vehicles considerately!
