Our MHA Pasture offers a rare opportunity for our members to board their horses on 100+ acres of scenic East Bay Municipal Utility District land, just steps from Redwood and Las Trampas trails. With space for up to fourteen horses, the pasture is a peaceful, natural environment suited for experienced owners who value space, community, working on the land, and trail access.
Boarding in the MHA pasture is open to active MHA members and requires participation in club activities and annual maintenance work, in accordance with our East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) stewardship plan. The terrain and seasonal grazing conditions demand attentive horse care and may not be suitable for all horses. We encourage newer equestrians or those looking for more amenities to explore local boarding barns with full-service facilities.
To learn more or to apply for a pasture spot, please contact Pasture Manager Laura Fend, using the contact form on our site and review our introductory materials (below). Active MHA members may submit a pasture occupancy application to be considered for a spot in the pasture or to be added to the waitlist.
