Supporting horses, riders, and trails since 1956
About
The Moraga Horsemen’s Association (MHA) is an equestrian community, nestled just east of the Oakland Hills. With over 100 acres of scenic pasture and direct access to East Bay trails, MHA brings horse lovers together through trail rides, herd management, and social gatherings. As stewards of the land, we balance recreational riding with careful pasture management, preserving the beauty of the watershed for generations to come.

Member-organized outings

Trips can range from relaxed half-day rides to overnight outings with horse camping. Members coordinate logistics and often carpool or trailer together, making it easy to join in.
Member meetings & Volunteer work parties
Monthly Events
MHA holds monthly member meetings to discuss club updates, plan events, and keep our community connected. Additionally, members come together for regular volunteer work parties to help care for the land and manage the herd. These hands-on gatherings are essential to maintaining our pasture, fencing, water systems, and brush control. Meetings and work parties often end with a casual potluck or BBQ, making them both productive and fun!
